A short clip of my test ride at the Ang Mo Kio Model Walking and Cycling Town phase 1 launch this morning.
Even in a busy and mature neighbourhood like AMK, we can carve out new community spaces. Beneath the MRT viaduct, there are now artworks and a sheltered walking and cycling path. NParks and ITE College Central students also built an outdoor terrarium along the route. Pavements were leveled for a safer ride too.
My thanks to everyone who worked long and hard to complete phase 1 of this project - Housing & Development Board, LTA, NParks, community partners and all the many workers. Looking forward to its full completion in 2019. - LHL
