The Tourism Authority of Thailand has officially launched the Women's Journey Thailand campaign, with 150 famous celebrities taking part in to show their support.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has officially launched the Women's Journey Thailand campaign, with 150 famous celebrities taking part in to show their support.

Making special appearances at the welcome reception on Monday were Sheikha Hend Fausal Al Qassemi, Princess of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates; Ms. Madeline Gay Cowe, Miss World Australia 2016; Ms. Xu Yun Fang, Miss Universe China 2015 and Michelle Yim, Hong Kong movie stars.

According to Tourism Authority of Thailand, the department is working with a range of partners in the health and beauty sector as well as hotels, airlines, hospitals and sports clubs to offer discounts and offers to women visiting Thailand in August.

Special immigration lane for ladies (women travellers' fast track) are also set at Thailand' s major international airports in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Hat Yai.

Among the activities and events to mark the 84th birthday of the Queen of Thailand, a total of 84 journalists, bloggers and social media influencers are invited to have a firsthand experience of the royal projects in Thailand.

The project will last till August 31st, but the Thai Tourism Minister, Kobkarn said, she believes it' s just a starting point.

"We believe that to travel to Thailand, to have not only special package, special discount during this month. This is just an introduction. Whenever you need to rejuvenate, find peace of mind and go back anew, come to Thailand. Therefore, we believe this is the best thing we can offer to our friends all around the world."

The Tourism Minister also calls for hotels, shops, airlines, sports clubs and local government to work together to offer more tailored package which can suit the need for everyone.

Thailand is all-year travel destination.

Official data shows an average increase of 11.4 percent of foreign female tourist year on year from 2007 to 2014.
