5 years of research and study.. One of my deciding factors to be part of Moana was sitting with my good bud John Lasseter (CCO of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney Pixar) and understanding his and Disney's commitment to digging in deep and putting in the time to understand our Polynesian culture, so as filmmakers they can deliver an amazingly authentic film.

As you see we all wanted to make something truly special for the world. Showcasing our humble, yet fierce Polynesian culture and rich traditions in a timeless story about something we all go thru... finding our way.
So many hard working and committed people to thank and I look forward to doing that at this weekend's press junket in LA.
