Sanjiangyuan, in NW China's Qinghai Province, is home to the headwaters of the Yangtze, Yellow and Mekong rivers. China's first national park was set up here in April. It covers an area of 123,100 square kilometers and has an average altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level.
